AU-50
Grade of coin. About Uncirculated
Has traces of light wear on many of the high points. At least half of the mints luster is still present.

AU-55
Grade of coin. Choice about Uncirculated
Barest evidence of light on only the highest marks of the design. Most of the mint luster remains.

Barber Quarters
Quarters designed by Charles E Barber, and issued between 1892 and 1916. These are also know as Liberty Head Quarters.

Mint State
A coin which shows no signs of usage, even under magnification.

MS-70
Grade of Coin. Perfect Uncirculated
The perfect coin. No sign of wear, the finest quality coin that can be imagined.

MS-65
Grade of Coin. Choice Uncirculated
An above average uncirculated coin which may be brilliant or lightlym toned and has very few contact marks on the surface or rim. This grade is usually considered to be investor quality.

MS-60
Grade of Coin. Uncirculated
Has no trace of wear but may show a number of contact marks. Surface may be spotted or lack some luster.

Proof
A coin made for collectors. Usually has a mirrorlike surface, and sharp detail. This term does not describe the condition of the coin.

Uncirculated
This is a synonym for Mint State
